Welcome
and thank you for considering Em-Te Town as the perfect
venue to hold your special event. At Em-Te Town you’ll
go back in time and experience life in the traditional
old west. While we strive to maintain the original
frontier character of the old Town, we also offer many
modern amenities for added comfort and practical
considerations.
At Em-Te
Town our facilities are geared to accommodate any group,
organization or function (up to 300 people). From
Weddings to Reunions; Corporate Retreats to Special
Events; Barn Dances to Christmas Parties; our
experienced functions coordinator will work with your
designated representative or events planner to ensure
the best event ever. Our mission is to provide efficient
friendly service with a down home smile. We will strive
to ensure our quality catered meals continue to meet or
exceed all expectations.
Your Party
will relax and enjoy the unique and picturesque
surroundings at Em-Te Town. Explore the old town
buildings, stroll along the creek, or gather with
friends and family on our outdoor patio. There is
something for everyone at Em-Te Town. Enjoy a beverage
of your choice in the Ole West Saloon; tackle our famous
Em-Te Burger in Drifters Diner, or browse the Emporium
for gifts and treats for the kids. Most importantly all
members of your group will leave the pressures of modern
life behind and bond together in a setting that is rare
and special.
Our
Facilities

At Em-Te
Town we are continually working to build and expand our
facilities to meet the growing demand. We recently
constructed a Grand Banquet Hall with a capacity of 200
persons now ready and available for the 2012 season.
This also serves as a dance hall with band stand for
live entertainment. It is an ideal facility for your
private function including weddings and family reunions.
It is easily serviced from our kitchen, with access to
the Saloon. Please contact us for information on daily
or evening rental rates.
For
smaller parties (less than 60 persons) you may elect to
utilize the original banquet room. This also serves as
our restaurant and is available in the evenings from
5pm. Special consideration is given for full day use
during weekdays and during the off season. This is an
ideal venue for small corporate meetings with direct
access from the kitchen for catered meals and snacks.
Sliding privacy doors allow discretionary access to the
saloon.
A large
outside covered deck area and jumbo fire pit are also
made available for our guests. These are licensed areas
which form part of the banquet hall rental.
The Saloon
remains open to the general public and is accessible to
all of our guests as a cash bar. A private bar may be
arranged in the banquet room or grand hall. You may wish
to purchase discounted drink tickets, or subsidize a
portion of each ticket for the benefit of your guests.
Book a
Function

At Em-Te
Town our aim is to make the booking process as simple
and transparent as possible. First we ask that you
contact us by email through our website at emtetown.com.
Please provide the desired date, type of function, the
number of people you expect to attend and any additional
requests or questions you may have. Also please provide
your contact information including phone number. We will
get back to you to go over your plans, discuss the
varied services which we offer, and provide you with any
additional information you may require.
A
non-refundable $1000 deposit will be required on the
date of booking. This deposit will ultimately be applied
towards your invoice.
Our
functions coordinator will arrange to meet with you or
your planner onsite in the spring or at least 30 days
prior to your event. You will be able to review and
finalize your plans, including menu selection, and
arrange any additional services you would like. We will
then confirm our arrangements by mutually agreed
contract. A further interim deposit will be required at
that time representing one third of the projected
invoice. The balance will be due 14 days prior to the
date of your event.
A special
consideration, we at Em-Te Town are pleased to offer
you, is the guaranteed availability of accommodations.
This means your guests will have the opportunity to
reserve their first choice of accommodation, including
motel rooms, cabins and power sites. Guests attending a
booked function in 2012 will be able to call
reservations at 780-388-2166 from April 1st
to 15th before we open to the general public
Services

We are
pleased to provide you with our complete western style
catering services for Weddings, Reunions and Special
events. We also offer catered group lunches for Tour
groups and complete meal selections for Corporate
meetings and retreats.
Due to
regulations no outside food or alcohol may be brought
into the town premises (except wedding cake). Beer and
liquor must be consumed within licensed areas. Children
are allowed in licensed areas of the facility in the
company of their parents until food service has
concluded
At Em-Te
Town we are known for our signature beef. From steak to
roast beef to hamburgers we strive to source the highest
quality meat and cook it to perfection.
We will be
pleased to assist you with your choice of DJ, Live Band,
Photographer, Florist, Wedding decorations, Pastor or
Justice of the Peace. You may book a Horse and Buggy
ceremonial ride in our all white marriage coach. Please
ask about our Menu and Wine Consultations.
Whatever
your special needs, our Events coordinator will be happy
to work with you or your planner. This will ensure
everything is properly organized to your satisfaction
and make your event as enjoyable as possible.
Accommodations

At Em-Te
Town your group will have access to all the amenities
you will need for the duration of your stay. Friends,
family, & co-workers can come from afar; settle in and
stay awhile. No one need be rushing back home.
Relax in
our newly renovated full service Motel with 7 rooms,
each with 2 double beds, satellite TV, and complimentary
coffee.
Stay in
one any of our 7 cozy rustic Cabins situated throughout
the property. Each contains a thermostatically
controlled heater and functioning antique wood stove.
Most sleep 4 with either 2 queen beds or a queen and 2
singles. Cabin 6 sleeps six; has power and a small
fridge. All have outside porches and fire pits. We
supply bedding and basic amenities. We encourage you to
bring some of your own gear including coffee pot,
cooler, flashlight, and axe.
We boast a
large diverse Campground with loads of room. Many
individual campsites are treed, some of which are along
the creek. Most are large and spacious and several have
30 amp power and water hookups. All have individual fire
pits. Group camping available as well as a parking area
for utility trailers. Rent a site with a genuine Indian
Tee Pee. The Campground washrooms provide flush
toilets and free showers. Dried and split firewood
available for sale. Additional accommodations are
available nearby. Please check our website for further

Activities

There are
lots of things to see and do during your stay at Em-Te
Town. We are nestled in a picturesque valley along a
vibrant creek (Rose Creek) which flows to the North
Saskatchewan River. The river is 10 km west of Em-Te
Town. You are likely to see Eagles, Owls, Deer and many
other forms of wildlife common to northern boreal
forest. Em-Te Town borders a huge swath of crown land
stretching north – south from Drayton Valley to Rocky
Mountain House and westward all the way to the Rocky
Mountains. So we are a truly authentic Western Frontier
Town on the edge of one of the few last remaining
complete wilderness eco-systems.
We now
offer guided trail rides, wagon rides, and pony rides
for the little ones. More to come later including a
petting zoo and special events in our new rodeo grounds

Other area

other activities associated with the great outdoors.

including charity trail rides.
Catered
Menu Selections

Please
take a moment to browse through the following menu
selections. We offer several quality options in a down
home way so that all of your friends, family, and
coworkers can share a memorable meal together.
Our
regular dinner meals are served buffet style while our
chef will carve and serve the meat selection. Children
under 12 years receive a smaller portion at half price.
For weddings and special events we will pleased to serve
the head table at your request.
Our
functions coordinator will arrange an initial on site
consultation meeting with you or your designated
representative regarding Meal planning including
Midnight lunch and Wine selections.
Please
provide confirmation on menu selection 30 days prior to
your event. We require final confirmation on the number
of guests attending at least 14 days prior to your
event.
We would
be pleased to arrange a Sunday Buffet for the benefit of
your guests. Wedding parties may utilize the Banquet
hall for gift opening the following morning at no extra
charge providing it is not otherwise engaged. Our full
service restaurant remains open during regular scheduled
hours.
